Is it illegal for a company to submit me to two different collection agencies?I am in Los Angeles, CA. Direct TV has submitted me to two collection agencies. I have only had direct tv once and think i moved without returning a modem or something or just owed them money. Anyway i would guess that they cannot turn me into one then turn me into another. Am i right? Any help would be much appreciated. If this is so and they have hurt my credit more than necessary for the last couple years could both items be removed? Thanks for the help Brian |

| No. You are wrong. But then, you already knew that didn't you?

| They can't have to CA's chasing you for the same debt at the same time, however they CAN keep reassigning it to successive agencies until you pay up or they just up and sell it to a junk debt buyer.
