judgement and bankruptcy

What is the name of your state? new jersey

A judgment was entered against me for 125k because of a dog bite. I receive SSI, I dont have any property and own a 1981 truck that barely runs. Will i be able to file for bankruptcy with this matter?

No, not on the judgement. 125k for a dog bite?

YES you can file for bankruptcy and that judgment can and will be included !
Consult with a couple of BK attorneys to determine the dischargeability of the debt though. If you're on SSI with no assets, you may not really need to file for bankruptcy.

Your dog must have done some serious damage to someone. But I also don't much see the point in declaring bankruptcy, unless there's a possibility that your money situation will change at some point in the future.
