Exclamation

judgement granted

What is the name of your state? nebraska One year ago, I was contacted by a collections agency for medical bills. i contacted my ins company and after many hoops they agreed to pay the bills. I told this to the agency and they said okay. In april, one year later0 they served a summons and the delivery person said to contact them because they would help. I called them immediately and they said they would hold off seeking judgement until I talked to the ins company to find out which claims were paid. The next day I went down to their office and got all the claims they had and got an assurance they would put it on hold until they heard back. The ins company started digging and found out 1/3 claims were repeat claims they paid already. The other ones they were paying and had paid off 2 weeks after my summons. last week I received a judgement for the plaintiffs for the entire amount. I had called and could not get in contact with the agent I was dealing with but left messages saying they were being paid. They refused to talk to the ins company and the HR person of my work. But both left messages stating these claims were paid for already or in process. What do I do? Can I appeal or am I outta luck?

Q: Can I appeal or am I outta luck?

A: Yes, but you should've had this taken care of way before now. Your appeal will probably be denied; sounds like you didn't fight it in court.

They told me they were not going to take it to court, they would call their attorney and put a hold on it. They said they would give me 60 days.
