Judgement and leins

What is the name of your state?AL
Ok, my dad has some rental property. He also has numerous judgements against him. How can we find out if they put a lein on some of the property? is that an automatic thing, or would there need to be something seperate filed. thanks!

Any liens on property would be recorded in the real estate records.

You might be able to go to the courthouse, speak with the county clerk (or the equivalent in your state) and ask about an liens recorded on such and such a property.

judgement of bank loan after 7 years

Louisiana

Does anyone know if there is a statue of limations on bank loans over 7 years old, and has been charged off at the bank for the past 5 years. The reason is that a collection agency just had a judgement past against me for that loan. I live in Va. now for the past 4 years. THis was the first time that I every heard from the bank.

It is inconsiderate to hijack someone else's question and answer string. It also gets folks really confused.

Yes, I know the answer to your question. Please post it as a separate question and I will answer it.
