Judgement process

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Idaho/Oklahoma
We moved to Idaho from Kansas two years ago. While living in Kansas, we operated a business in Oklahoma. Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages is trying to sue us for an ad that they screwed up. In the original papers they sent us they wanted us to verify that we were residents of Kay County Ok. We are not now nor have we ever been RESIDENTS of Kay County. Does this affect their being able to sue in Kay County? They seemed rather disturbed when we wrote back that we have never been Kay County residents, but they are still scheduling a hearing. We can't go back to attend the hearing so what are our options?
