Judgement was (temporarily) dismissed.

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin
Judgement in civil court was dismissed as long as I make monthly payments. Every 6 months the payment increased by $50 to the point where I won't be able to afford the payments. This was the best that could be done according to another attorney that handled the case for me to avoid an immediate judgement. If some of you remember my original post it was titled: letting the judgement roll. It did not matter that I never missed a single payment prior to it being turned over to another attorney to collect, since I owe the money, they want it now.

My question is living in Wisconsin, earning less than the federal poverty guidelines, on medicaid and only having this temporary job, which I just started and should run into July, to support myself and the two kids (one is now 19, is he still considered a dependent?) what can be taken from me? I believe in this state they can take up to 20% of one's wages. Is unemployment totally exempt as well? At this point I think it is six of one or half a dozen of the other as to just giving up on the whole thing just go.

Once this job is over, how would the collector get any info as to a new employer?

Sorry if this is a repeat of a question someone may have asked earlier.

I appreciate your help.

yes, they can take a percentage of your wages....but google judgment exemtions in your state. it'll list what can and can not be touched.

in some states head of household income cant be touched.
i believe in any state, gov't issued checks cant be touched. but do the search.
