Judgment Collection - options? What is the name of your state? MA I have a Judgment entered in MA court against a NH contractor for a considerable amount. My lawyer has contacted a NH attorney to do collection work, but it has gone nowhere since April. The judgment debtor has gone into hiding, he is no longer living at his last address, his property has been foreclosed upon. He is self-employed, in the home improvement business, and in all likelihood has moved withing the state of NH. He does not need a license to do business in NH, and his license in MA has expired. I believe my case is a low priority for a NH attorney. I am wondering what are my options to actually get things moving? Should I hire another NH attorney directly and on a contingency basis? Hire a collections agency? A private investigator? Should I contact athorities in the state of NH and try persuading them to open a criminal investigation? I am very frustrated and hope to get advice from people who've been down this road before. |

Should I hire one of the firms listed on the website, can somebody actually recommend a specific firm? Thank you for taking time and putting some thought answering. Someday I will return the favor. |
