Judgment renewal

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
My wife had a judgment filed in 11/17/1992 while we lived in Maryland. In 7/03, lawyers for Ford filed for an extension but it was not recorded until 2/2007. Is this renewal valid? We moved to Virginia in 7/2006. How many times can a judgment be renewed in Maryland.
