Question

jugments from collections

What is the name of your state?Oregon
I recently got behind with debt due to a medical problem. I have since returned to work and taken a 2nd job to pay off the old debt. I have been making progress but I have two items in court. The first is a collection that I was paying on. The collectiona gency said I had to pay it in three payments the amount was 2500.00 the amount they gave me was 836.00 a month. I paid 836.00 once, missed a payment put paid 1000.00 the next month and in the same month paid 500.00 I still owe 274.00 I was served with a small claims for 754.00. I provided the court with the canceled cashiers checks to proof the amount paid and took that to the court. I have not heard from the court yet. What do I do next. will they tell me what the court says? should I pay the remaining 274.00 or wait to hear from the court?
the other question is I was served witha summons today on another debt. Again I can pay it in two or three payments the amount is 758.00. Do I go to court and make the arrangement or call the attorney who filed. I want to avoid garnishments etc.

You can always call the court clerk to get the status of the first judgment.

As for the second lawsuit, you're going to have to deal with the attorney that is suing you - the court can't do anything at this point.
