Is this a just debt?

What is the name of your state?Mississippi

I am 55 and on disability. me benefit is $600 a mo. I am paying on many med. bills at $5 a mo., $10, etc.
My dr ordered a cat scan WITH IVP dye and since i am allergic to the dye, gave me 2 Rxs (steroids/antihist.) to take AM of test. They made me very drowsy and I had someone drive me. I reminded lab tech i was to have dye and she smugly told me i was allergic to the dye & the cat scan that day i would not be given dye for. told her there was a mistake, i had been premedicated and i showed her rx bottles and asked her to call my dr office and clarify. she did not. in about 2 min. it was over and i was billed for it. when i called the hospital they were really ugly and said i got the test and i had to pay. come to find out my dr erred and failed to put WITH DYE on the orders he sent me to hospital for--BUT i did tell clerk to phone first, there was some mistake.
when i asked my dr nurse about it she said well test didn't show stones. i say without dye, well it would not show much. then why did i get 2 rx i really didn't have the $ to pay for?
hospital is billing me hot and heavy, i sent them $1 last mo. because i didn't have any to send after paying all the other med. accounts and also i am unsure whether to dispute this and not pay at all due to being premedicated and them messing up. like my dr and don't want to cause him any trouble but after medicare write off my share is a lot.
do i send hospital ltr disputing debt and copies to credit bureaus? also, this state garnishes wages, to include social security disability, but NOT SSI. I am on social security disability. I can't afford a garnishment. What to do?
Would someone please email me.
