Limitation of Claim

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? NC, TX

Hi, I moved from Dallas, TX to Cary, NC in May 2004. I got a bill from a medical diagnostics company from Dallas beginning December 2004 via mail redirection to pay for a service that my daught received in November 2003 (!). They must have realized in the year-end closing that my insurance denied the service.
The letter was sent out before two days before the one year mark, but I received the bill much later than that.
I am originally from Germany where you have to send out a bills within one year otherwise the claim is void. Is there a similar concept in the US? Do I have to pay the bill?
