loan payment or homelessness?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?massachusetts
what are your options dealing with a federally backed student loan my payments are forcing me to live in my car .
i know bankruptcy is not an option .
when i told my loan holder that it was loan payment or homelessness they said that was MY choice.
is there legal recourse in this or am i doomed to join the legion of homeless on the street because( i tried to better my life with education?)...

The problem is they gave you the opportunity to better your life and you didn't take it. It is your choice. You have the option to work and pay your bills. You borrowed money, why should working tax payers have to pay more because you won't pay back what you borrowed. They are right. On the other hand, if you are homeless and have no job, they can't garnish your wages or take anything from you. Maybe you should sell the computer and put against it.
