What is the name of your state? Tennesee

Hi, I have a guy's vechicle at a friend of mine's house that needs to be removed. I did some mechanical work on the car and actually have a little of my own money in it for parts which he owes me for as well as labor charges. I can't get ahold of the guy but I left him numerous messages telling him that if we didn't get this resolved I would be forced to sell the car. The deadline was Jan. 31. I was thinking that I need to file for a mechanic's lien but I don't have a business license so that might not fly. Which leaves requesting ownership of an abandoned vehicle, right? I live in north Mississippi but the car is and the owner resides in Tennessee. Also, I don't think he is the registered owner yet because he bought this car at a police auction. So, I have no idea what I need to do in order to sell this car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
