MRS Collection agency question...What is the name of your state? California we agreed on a settlement payoff over the phone and I told them to sent it to me in writing and I would then mail them a money order or check. So yesterday I did recieve the letter with the agreement but it also states in the letter that i need to call by the 26th ( Tommorow) and do a pay by phone check. If i don't call by then the offer would be void. I never agreed to a pay by check. Should I try calling them back and tell them i dont feel comfortable giving my checking account info over the phone? Will they care? BTW i heard that this credit agency is one of the worst as bottom feeders from Cherry Hill N.J. |

| Let's see. The 26th is tomorrow. You are not leaving yourself much time to renegotiate this. Their demand is not uncommon. They are just trying to make sure the funds post before their month end cutoff. Hope did you plan to pay? Were you going to write a personal check and mail it? If so, their is no difference to give them the info by phone. Either way they have your checking information. Were you going to mail a cashier's check? If so, call first thing tomorrow and say you will FedX the cashier's check overnight today if they will revise and fax you a new settlement agreement. |
