Need to hire but need advice first

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA

First, I'm not sure if I am posting to the right board so if someone has an idea of a more appropriate board please let me know. Unfortunately I don't have all the details because I'm trying to help someone but will do the best I can.

1. Left apartment earlier than end of lease - notified apt complex two months in advance, agreed to pay remaining balance. Paid balance of apx $1,000.00, there is now a Judgement for that exact amount on credit report - shows paid. One month later another Judgement is recorded in amount of $78,000.00 from same company. Court recorder entered amount wrong should have been $780.00 according to judgement, but let amount alone there is another judgement from the same company after debt was paid in full.

2. Identity theft - someone she knows opened unknown amount of credit cards in Texas

This has destroyed her life, completely destroyed it - she came to me for help because I had some problems a few years back but nothing to this extent. I advised her to seek out a lawyer skilled in these areas. She can not afford to pay initial consultant fees over and over until she finds someone who will help her.

Her end goal is to be made whole. She wants to prosecute the person for not only stealing her identity but also for mail fraud. She wants the company to be held accountable for the additional charges that were fraudulently taken to court and either the state as a whole or the person specifically responsible who entered the charges incorrectly in the system.

All of these things have destroyed her life - she needs someone that she can turn to that will not take further advantage of her and who will have their fees and all other related fees be paid by the offending parties. She lives in the Manassas area but works in the Herndon area. I am trying to help find someone that will help her. She does not have the time or experience to deal with this by herself. If there is someone out there that will help her or knows someone that will help her, please let me know.

Thank you

lol @ the bolded part. she wants to go after some county employee who probably makes $13.00 an hour because he/she accidently made a typo? Seems really reasonable lol. Or tell me if I was reading it incorrectly.

What do you mean she doesn't have the time to deal with HER situation?

Seems to me she has found a patsy to do all the research for her. Her next step will probably be to have you pay for the attorney should she ever find one that willl guarantee her she'll win in court.
