Newbie needs help, Thanks in advance

What is the name of your state? NC
I lived in NC in 1999 and 2000 and when I left I though I had settled all of my bills. Apparently I still owed on 2 medical bills (totalling $200) utilities ($150) and on a Dicks Sporting Goods account ($80 when it was opened/ last date of activity in 11/2000. The account is now with Calvary (opened 6/2003) and is $500)

All of the accounts have been sold off to multiple CA's and show up multiple times on my CR.

I sent a DV to Calvary and the OC on the Dicks Sporting Goods account and recieved back similar packets from each. Both contained computer print outs of billings and some other general information but nothing that seemed to indicate that the debt was mine. Both also showed that the account was opened to an old address of mine from NY. I can honestly say I don't remember opening an account with them but that long ago who knows, so if I have to pay some to get it off my CR then I'll do it.

My questions are:
For the Dicks Sporting Goods Account:
Did either company truely verify that the debt was mine? Shouldn't they have a signed copy of the application or something?
When does the SOL start from 11/00 or 6/03?
Does a new account (With a new SOL and new CR damage) open every time the debt is sold to another CA?
When do will this account come off my CR if I do not take any action?

For the Other accounts:
What would my best plan of attack for getting these off my CR?

Thanks a ton for you're help, I'm pretty paniced right now and am pretty pressed for time as I will be buying a house in the Spring.

**I will give you a computer printout saying you owe me $50. Will you pay it? Please? See, a computer printout means NOTHING.

When does the SOL start from 11/00 or 6/03?

**11/00. The SOL starts from when the account goes into default, not when a CA purchases it.

When do will this account come off my CR if I do not take any action?

**05/08 (7 years plus 180 days)

For the Other accounts:

**It is your choice. I would send a DV letter, certified mail return receipt, requesting full and proper validation. When I got the green card back, I would dispute with the credit bureaus--it puts the CA's on a 30-day time line. If they validated properly, I would offer a pay for delete. If that was a no-go, I would settle the account (in writing, they can't sell the unpaid portion).

Thanks a ton for you're help, I'm pretty paniced right now and am pretty pressed for time as I will be buying a house in the Spring.
Send DV letters CMRR. Dispute with credit bureaus. If they can't validate, have them remove the accounts from your credit reports. If they do, offer a pay for delete or settle it.

For the house: If the bad accounts are in dispute, or you have dispute letters, you may be able to do Rapid Rescore. I don't know too much about it, but a good mortgage company should be able to tell you more.

Go to creditboards.com too. There is a wealth of info there.

Forgot about the selling to a new CA question:

You will get a new tradeline. However, you can dispute the old ones. They no longer have the account and won't be able validate it. It may take a couple letters, but it can be done.
