NSF check, not me!!

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? TEXAS
Letter came from a county clerks office claiming my son wrote a NSF check in bellville tx. I requested copy of check.... It is a "personal" style check w/ a company name & address..no phone # for $57.27.
I faxed copy of son's drivers license to owner of the retail store to compare to the check he took...they don't match.....owner said send a money order for $80. & all charges will be dropped/dismissed....however, this came only after many pleas from me, that it was not fair for this to go against my son. He did not write check. Nor has he ever had a checking acct.
Store owner said niece took check & now lives in California & can't be questioned about it! Did she actually SEE drivers license or just wrote a # down????
There are 3 names identical to my sons within THEIR zip codes and area codes
& we are about 400 miles away!!**************.We don't have the cash & not able to go there & try to investigate it ourselves......if I pay & later prove it's someone else would I have recourse????? Do I call the bank check was drawn on??or the 3 names??
what do I do????? ......Worried Mom

Have your son (not momma) write a letter, certified mail return receipt requested, to whoever sent you the letter stating that it is not him and include a copy of the check and a copy of the driver's license.

Son (not momma) should state that he is not one and the same person who wrote this check (if that is indeed the truth).

Will this work? I do not know.

It seems passing strange that your son would come up in this deal. Don't you think?

So how did they decide it was your son? What on the drivers license didn't match the check??

Here's what we know: letter dated nov.'04.....check dated april '04**************requested faxed copy of check from the judge's office where the complaint was placed.they complied, then we faxed back a copy of drivers license for them to compare signatures to clear up son!!...I posed the question of "if ck dated april why was it held until oct/nov, nearly 7 months???
owner of store says..don't matter, somehow your son's DL# was written on ck. he did not seem too interested in reaching his neice who took the ck that now lives in california**************..we have no idea what to do....

Lets make this VERY simple.....
Unless YOU are a licensed attorney in Texas OR if your son is under 18 years old, the court doesn't have to even read your letter(s). He needs to resolve this.... without YOUR intervention.

Have HIM do as suggested.... you need to stay out of this.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
