Old judgement didn't know about

What is the name of your state? VA

Hi, I recently discovered that I have a judgement against me from 1998 (result was the default judgement for the plaintiff) from a dept store...never really checked my credit report until recently (stupid I know but now I'm older and know a little better). I never knew about this (I was moving around a lot at the time) and even the name was misspelled on the record (I checked the VA online court records). Any advice on how to proceed from here? Thanks in advance.
