What is the name of your state? Ohio
I recently got myself into a vicious payday loan cycle. I'm a single parent with no family to ask for help and credit that's too poor to get a real loan. My child needed dental surgery, and I got the loan out of desperation. But when I would pay my loan off each payday, I didn't have enough money to pay my bills so I'd get another loan, etc. Then I was laid off from work for a few weeks, and my check bounced. So now I owe $600 to the cash advance company, but I can't afford to pay all at once. I offered to make payments, but they said "no." So today I received a court summons via certified mail. I really don't want a judgement rendered against me, but I don't know what to do. Is it too late to late to fix this problem without getting the courts involved?

They are not required to negotiate a payment plan. You are giving them no choice but to sue you.

When you were off work, were you eligible for govt assistance? That may have given you a few extra $.

Sorry that I don't have any helpful advice.
