Payment from General Contractor

What is the name of your state? Virginia
My company is currently working on a project in VA. I have requested the first payment over four weeks ago. I asked the GC when I can expect to get paid and he responded by telling me that they should receive payment on 2/25. He is telling me that we should be getting paid on the 15th or March. Is there time limit in VA as to when the subcontractor is supposed to get paid after the General Contractor gets paid. I know that in MD, by law, the sub has to get paid within 3 days of the GC getting paid. Does anybody know what the case is in VA? Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know you are about to get screwed.

I'd get out and cut your losses.
