Pending file

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? Texas

A collection agency is wanting to talk to me about a pending file and they give me a number. I have yet to talk to them. What is a pending file? Are they about to file a lawsuit?

Probably not. They are building urgency into the issue. They can't leave a message saying they want to talk to you about your bad debt to XYZ Corp, so they leave obscure messages.

Its NOTHING, its a scare tactic to make you THINK there's a lawsuit already. Their 'file number' is nothing but their own internal reference for your account.

Are they about to file a lawsuit ?? Most likely NOT !
