Placed under 72 hour Psych Hold

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

I went to the Southern Nevada Metal Health clinic to try to see a nurse and renew a prescription for Xanex. I have been treated here for depression since last year. When I saw the nurse she asked me a series of questions, including if I ever had thoughts of suicide. When I answered in the affirmitive, she said she was sending me to a local hospital for evaluation 72 hour involutary hold. The question I have is, since I have no insurance, do I have to pay the Hospital Bill? I already got a statement from the Hospital (Not a bill), but I just want to know if the state is going to pick up the charge ($4,200) for less than 24 hours in the ER, being watched by a nurse. Will I have to pay all or part of this? All's I wanted was to try to renew my prescription for Xanex. I have no Medical insurance. The treatment I recieved at the Clinic was free, but I had to show them paycheck stubs proving I was only making a certain amount of money.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can apply for indigent care from the hospital.
