| Please help - Removing judgment from credit report What is the name of your state? PA
Hello,
I recently had a judgment appear on my credit report. I discovered it inadvertently while checking my credit report.
The judgment was dated 2/07. My understanding is that even after I've paid it, it will remain on my credit report as a negative entry, marked as "satisfied".
Is there a way to have it removed? I have heard of a "vacating" letter, which would ask the plaintiffs to sign a document that essentially removes the judgment. Is this something I should give to them to sign in exchange for payment?
Any help is greatly appreciated, as I have a clean credit history and am looking to purchase a home soon. |
