Please Help!!--Voluntary Dismissal

What is the name of your state? Florida

I was taken to court by a credit card company but was no longer living in the state and so the summons went unserved. Apparently the lawyer for the plaintiff never showed up to small claims court and a few months later, the case was recorded as a voluntary dismissal. The courts indicate the case is closed. Please help!! The creditor is still reporting to the credit bureaus that the amount is unpaid every month. Once a case is dismissed, do they have the right to continue to pursue the debt? And can they still report to the credit bureaus? Thanks so much for your help!!

A: Yes and yes. All that happened was this case was dismissed; nothing happened to the debt.
