What is the name of your state? NC

I have been seperated for over a year and now divorced.. My ex, assumed the finacial debt for all credit and the house.. We had a vehicle together in which we where to pay together.. I did not want it for it was costing me to much.. He filled Bankrupcy for himself and now they are coming after me for over $ 7000 dollars.. I have nothing.. No bank accounts, work 2 jobs, joint custody of the children, do get child support, and I have been served papers (called a civil summons), I do not understand any of this stuff, for I am a German citizen and do not understand the legal stuff.. I cannot afford to pay them is their any way out???

You will need to attempt payment arrangements. They will eventually sue you, and attempt to get a judgment. If they do receive the judgment, they will start to garnish yur paychecks, bank accounts, etc.
