Rights Of an Authorized UserWhat is the name of your state? Georgia This is my problem************** Years ago my parents put me on a credit card account as an authorized user. Well since then they have collected a large debt amount. They have now been turned over to collections. My question is can I be removed from the account so that my credit becomes clear? | As long as you are just an authorized user, then you are not responsible and it shouldn't be on your credit. You can have an authorized user removed. Now if they just got the card in your name and guaranteed it or cosigned it, it is a different matter.
