rma???

What is the name of your state?va

I received a letter from rma for a direct tv account from 2000 that they say i owe. Said they didnt have to wait to validate direct tv accounts that they could just put it right on credit report which they did. The lady told me that sol for a direct tv account was 5 years, does anyone know what the sol is??? I thought it was 3 years. thanks for any help

Did you have a written contract for Direct TV? If so, the SOL is 5 years from DOLA. If it is considered an open account then the SOL is 3 years from DOLA. It depends on if you had an agreement in writing.
