S Corp. : Individual's CreditWhat is the name of your state? NY If a company's account was to be put into collections, could it affect an owners personal credit? This hasn't happened yet, but things are a bit on the ropes. I'm a shareholder/ officer of the corporation, so preparing for the worst. Last edited by MrSkeptic; 08-18-2007 at 11:38 AM. |

| If the owner is personally liable for the debts of the S-Corp, yes, it will go on his/her credit.

| Thanks, though I suppose that would affect the majority shareholder and not me (I'm hoping at least). |
