My girlfriend graduated from college in May of 07. She asked me to make the
final payment for her account so she could receive her degree. Without the
payment she would not walk with her degree. I paid the amount owed and she
received her degree when she walked. 3months later she was hit with a bill
for the amount i paid. I lost or misplaced the receipt now. My question is,
After receiving her degree which couldn't have been obtained without a zero
balance on her account, isn't her physical degree another proof of receipt of
payment? Also she transfered transcripts to another college after she graduated, something that couldn't have been done without a zero balance. I have my bank statment showing i took out over 3500 that day her school payment was for 1500. She also has a receipt for the transcript transfer.
