sending a MO to a POB to pay??

What is the name of your state? OR

I was sent a notice of a small claims court filing for money I owe on a dental bill. I had been paying the dentist when I could... but they sent it to collections. This collection company (Quick Collect Inc) has been rude to me on the phone.. yelling and hanging up on me.. and I dont trust them.
There are a couple of things Im concerned about... 1) on the small claims court paper it says that I must pay the full amount, plus filing fee plus service costs. I called QCI and asked what the service costs are.. as on the court notice it says 'undetermined' but they wouldnt tell me. So how do I know how much to send for that.. and CAN they come back after and claim I didnt pay them the full amount I was supposed to? 2) it says "no personal checks ONLY money order". But the only address is a POBox. when I called I asked then if there was an office I could walk the payment into and receive a receipt. They said 'no'. But they HAVE an office.... and I asked them if I could take it there and they said 'no'. Im concerned that they will say they didnt get it. And Im supposed to send proof to the court that I made that payment. Money orders are like sending cash.. how can I prove I made the payment? 3) Can I request a hearing so that I can make the payment and have it documented?
This company has had complaints about borderline illegal collection practices... and for garnishing more than the judgement is for. They also have a history of filing for small claims court and then not showing up to the hearings. So I dont know what to do. The debt constitutes almost half my monthly salary and Im a single parent on a limited income.. so I cant afford for them to mess up my income.
Any help or advice or insight would be appreciated.
Thank you
Dee
