Should I be worried?

What is the name of your state? MI

Hello forum- I have a debt (gateway computer account through AAC,LLC) that I am trying to clear up. Well I called them agreed to a $1500 settlement original amount with interest accruing is over $3000. I have paid them 1/2 in June and now in July I am to pay the other 1/2. My problem is this...they stated that within 48 hours of receiving the last payment they will fax me a 'paid in full' letter. When I asked that they send me a settlement agreement they said they 'do not send out anything in writing, because some people use it and never clear up the debt.'
I am feeling quite uneasy about this after making my first payment, should I be?

You won't know till you send in the payment. They originally trusted you to uphold an agreement then you failed to do so, it seems ironic you are now questioning them.
