Social # theft?I live in Florida. A business in California used my social security # to file a claim with my health insurance. I was not in California, and no one else was authorized to use my health insurance. Should I sue? Any advice would be appreciated. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

contact the authoritiesA better suggestion would be to write, with photocopies of everything together with an Affidavit saying you were never in California, the Attorney general's Office for California in Sacramento and inform them of the fraud. Since the fraud is by some business in California they have jurisdiction, and since you are picked out of a hat you can bet that a large number of others are also being duped for payments from their insurers. Let the government go after them for fraud. Be sure to tell your insurers also, so they can deny the claim. |
