Statue of Limitation in Illinois

What is the name of your state? Illinois

Does any one by chance know the statue of limitation on a phone bill? I live in illinois, born and raised but this collection account is for Pacific Bell. It shows that the collection agency has been reporting on it since May of 2000, but it has to be from before that. I never had any house phones in my name adn I know this isnt my debt. I am going to court to file a answer to a summons and wanted to know if I can use that as part of my defense.
