Statute of limitations in Florida

I live in Florida and i was invoved in a car accident 12 years ago. I made a payment arrangement with attorneys representing the insurance company and i payed them diligently for 2 years. I do not have a judgement against me becuase i recently refinanced my home and there were no judjments. After 2 years there payment envolopes stop coming so i forgot all about it. Know 8 years later they want me to start paying them what i owe them. I need to know if the statute of limitations has run out on this. thank you
