Statute of Limitations on "money judgment"??I'm in Arizona. Is there any statute of limitations on money judgments (civil) or are they good forever? If there is a judgement, does/can only the original plaintiff pursue enforcement? Or can a collection agency? |

| Yes, there is a statute of limitations for judgments. Here is what I found for judgments in Arizona. Domestic Judgment: 5-additional 5 upon request (indefinitely) Foreign Judgment: 4 The owner of the judgment may attempt collection directly or they may assign the judgment to an attorney or a collection agency to collect on the holder's behalf. Also, the owner of the judgment may sell the judgment to a third party who will then be the new owner and have all the rights of the original owner. |

| Thank you! This judgment is regarding a very old credit card that has recently come back to haunt me. The collection company has already violated a couple of the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" rules. They have finally shown me evidence of a small claims judgment from the original plaintiff back in 1994 - and I just wanted to know if it still had any weight or validity to it. |
