Suicide and bill collectors

What is the name of your state? Minnesota
My brother committed suicide 2 months ago, and now I'm being harrassed by debt collectors for his bills. I have no money, and I am the sole survivor. I'm still grieving and cannot handle them coming after me. He lived in NC and I'm in MN and I couldn't even afford to go to his cremation. I had his remains sent to me, but I don't think I should be responsible for his bills!!! Anyone ever known of a problem of this sort??? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks. Jean

Make copies of his death certificate. Send them to the creditors.
