summonsWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california. i have been served a summons for a debt. i called the collection agency and explained my situation and they were not willing to work with me. i am unemployed until march of 2010. should i go to the hearing and talk to the judge? |

| Knock yourself out. Nothing in your post suggests you don't owe the debt. You are extremely likely to still have a judgment entered against you. The only defense is to prove you don't owe the debt.
