What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee, Davidson County

I was served with a notice to appear at my place of emplyment yesterday, 2/9/2011 by Plantiff Robinson, Reagan, and Young for amn old car loan from CNAC for a car that was voluntarily surrendered approximately 4 years ago. Since they obiously know where I work and co0uld get a garnishment if I allow a default judgment, should I attempt to settle with the attorney? Should I file a written sworn denial? Should I appear in court (date of 2/28/2011) and file an Oral Sworn Denial?

You owe the money, you should try to work something out to avoid getting a judgment against you.

Slow Pay

If I am unable to reach an agreement with the Plantiff, should I allow a default judgment and then file for a Slow Pay motion?
