Texas - what's the statute of limitations for medical collections? What is the name of your state? Texas Being pursued by a doctor's collection agent who claims that, in the case of medical bills, he has 7 years in which to file suit in Texas. Can anyone verify this? Of course, he can't, because he is NOT correct. The allowed limitation on actions for Texas can be found at: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/statutes/docs/CP/content/htm/cp.002.00.000016.00.htm And you will see there is NOTHING in Texas with a seven year limit.

Why has he spent over $1.7M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
