Threat?

California.

I was turned over to a debt collection company for a bill that I did not pay. I am disabled and on Medi-Cal. I was told by my insurance company if I am on Medi-Cal I do not have to pay this bill because of title 22. Is this true?

In the letter I received from the debit collection company in thair wards "This is a demand for payment in full. Avoid further action" and also saying they are going to turn me over to credit reporting angency were your credit ratings are kept.

I take this as a threat, right or wrong?

And if you have any information on title 22, please send me any links or info.

Thank you very much!

And, by the way, that is not a threat - merely a statement of fact.

I used to do collections and "avoid further action" was common cuz the person always thought it meant legal, but it could mean just another call, letter, ....

Its not a threat.
