Undocumented LoanIllinois is my State I loaned $2000 to a friend, and now the relationship has soured. This friend recently told a mutual friend that he has no intentiion of repaying my loan. When he asked for the money I simply wrote him a check and didn't ask for any written contract. Am I out of 2K, or is there some legal recourse? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! |

| Sounds to me like you're out $2,000. You have nothing in writing except the check that you wrote, no repayment agreement of any kind. You could sue him, but without anything in writing, you won't win.
