wage garnisment

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin, I recently had a dept collector put a judgement against me. I had to fill out a financial disclosure. Can they garnish my wages or freeze my bank account if we receive medical assistance.

Define "medical assistance," please.

If you mean that you are receiving disability payments or SSI, and not income from a regular job, then most likely the creditor can't touch that money.
