What if they don't agree to delete? What is the name of your state? Ky I just first want to thank you guys for all of your help so far! You are awesome!! I do have one more question... DH and I are in the midst of settling with a CA. When I asked that their settlement letter include the agreement that the tradeline be deleted, they said "we don't do that, our letters are standard and we can't alter them". They said if I do not settle before a certain date that they will go for a judgement. What should I do? I know this is probably crap and they could very well change whatever the heck they wanted, but I do not want a judgement against us. |

| Of course its crap. If the collector can get your money before the end of the month, he/she just might meet the quota and get his Burger King bonus ! Depending on the status of the debt, the arm-twisting threat of a judgment is also suspect. You have what they want - money - make them work for it ! I hope you've put your settlement offer into writing.. no VERBAL 'agreement' will ever hold up !
