What should I do?What is the name of your state? Mississippi I recently received two letters from Trauner,Cohen & Thomas of Atlanta Georgia, that says I need to pay them 1,578.71 on one and 1,757.37 on the other for someone called action card. I have no clue who action card is and don't believe I owe anyone anywhere any money? I immediately called them and they asked for my SS #. I stupidly gave it to them and now I am a little nervous? They found no record of me or my SS# so I gave them the account number and still the man says "Sorry, but I don't have anything on you or your account number" I find this extremely strange as I hold the letters they sent me in my hand. The three things I am worried about now is... A) Can this be turned over to a collection agency and damage my good credit? B) Should I respond in writing to them and not just a phone call? C) What about my SS # should I be worried about that? I want to pitch all this mess in the trash and go on with my life but I am not sure anymore that is the best thing to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

| Isn't there a statement on that letter that explains for you to send a letter if ou dispute the bill?
