What should I pay to satisfy a judgement

What is the name of your state?NY
Recently a lien was placed on my bank account for $761 and the bank held over $1500. Does the attorney get the $1500. What should I offer to pay him if I contact him, to free up my bank account?

Q: What should I offer to pay him if I contact him, to free up my bank account?

A: From what you state, the creditor will already get what the judgment states that the creditor should get. Look on your judgment; it should give you the amount, plus attorney's fees. The answer to your question is, "Offer the amount of the judgment, costs, and fees set forth in the judgment."

The judgement does not say anything about attorney fees, only interest since 12/24/04 on the $761

No judgment for attorney's fees?

Why does the lawyer think he should get attorney's fees?

Double check to see if there has been a filing of a "Memorandum of Costs" or something to that effect for additional fees that may have been used in order to collect on the judgment.

Unhappy

No memoradum of costs or anything to that effect. However, the bank has frozen double the amount of the judgement or $1500
