When can the statute of limitations be resetWhat is the name of your state? Fl I read somewhere that the statute of limitations can be reset if you even make a promise to pay. If you make a small payment years after the SoL has expired, does it reset on the remaining balance for another four years. Also, does this hold true as far as the 7 year time period it could be reported? |

| On a debt that the the SOL has already expired, the only way to reset the SOL is to make that 'promise to pay' IN WRITING.
