Question

Where to begin

What is the name of your state?California
I live in California. I have a signed contract by a man who borrowed some money from me(over $50,000.00 including interest)I have located him in florida and he is owner of a very profitable business.I would like to know how to go about placing a lien on this property,and if there is a time limit.

You can sue and obtain a judgment. With the judgment there are a variety of ways to garnish wages and attach property.

Exactly what you can or cannot do is a function of the laws of that state.

For a debt this size, you should seek advice and assistance from an attorney.
