Where To Go From Here...

What is the name of your state?CALIFORNIA.

I'm posting to get suggestions because I'm finding that whatever attorney I talk to only wants to sell me whatever service he/she specializes in.

Here's the deal. 8-years ago my business partner embezzled $2MY. Basically our entire business. So I sued. To get out from under $750K in business debt that was hounding me, he suggested bankruptcy. Then, because my attorney was incompetent, I lost my case against my former partner due to a lack of standing resulting from the BK. So, again I sued. In the resulting Malpractice case against my former attorney, I discovered he was as incompetent as the day is long. Then on the 1st day of trial, with a wink and a nod, the judge proceeded to exclude every scrap of evidence and every witness (including me), that would have established the amount of damages in an otherwise undisputed case. No evidence. No case. I lose. Then to add insult to injury, he awarded $250K in damages to the incompetent attorney for his legal fees.

So where to go from here? I'm 43. I've lost everything. I've spent 8-years already waiting for a legal system to do its job, that is incapable of doing so. I do not want to spend another 10-years climbing out from under another disastrous BK. And, I am an entrepreneur. That's what I do, and the only thing I care to do. You can't start a business with no money, and trashed credit. I'm looking for a way to start over by starting a new business on a shoe string. Something that will let me eat and live out what is left of my life. And as sure as I'm sitting here typing, I know that the minute I declare another BK, the jerk attorneys that paid off this judge will sue me again to try to keep me quiet and in ruin. Their stated strategy: "What can he do when he's living out of a shopping cart."

Suggestions? Anyone with a friend in the FBI?
