Double STD Insurance question

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arkansas

There is no malicious intent behind this question; it is a sincere one. I am a law abiding citizen.

I have a STD policy through my employer that pays 60% of my salary. Is there any law that prevents me from taking out a private policy and collecting both when I file a claim? I will likely need several surgeries in the future.

Thanks.

There's no law prohibiting it, no. You might want to be sure to read both policies carefully to see if there are any offsets that you might not be aware of, but there's nothing illegal about it.
