If i was on short term disability and am getting ready to receive long term disability, do i keep my medical insurance and life insurance as well as my family's?

That's a little like asking, if I have an apple, is my skirt too short?

The two have nothing to do with each other. But I may be able to help you narrow it down.

Is it safe to assume that all these various insurances are employer sponsored? How long were you on STD? (There is no standard length by law - it is determined by policy and could be anywhere from 6 weeks to 2 years. The answer makes a certain amount of difference to the answer to your question.)
